St. Croix Scenic 50 — A Vibe Like No Other

Trade your winter blues for Caribbean hues at the St. Croix Scenic 50, one of the few ultramarathons in the entire Caribbean. Taking place every January on the breathtaking island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, this race is more than just miles—it’s a full-sensory island experience. With a 50K individual and 50K relay (2–3 person team) option, it’s perfect for solo runners and adventure-seeking crews alike.

The course unfolds in a unique figure-eight loop, starting and finishing at the iconic Cane Bay beach. Runners begin with a soul-stirring sunrise along the north shore, then wind through lush jungle canopies, jeep roads, and rolling hills en route to the island’s rugged west end. The route is a dynamic mix—about 25% paved road, 25% singletrack, and 50% jeep trail—offering constantly changing scenery and terrain.

And just when you think you’ve conquered it all, the infamous “Crusher Hill” kicks in, pulling you back into the forest before one last pulse-pounding descent down “The Beast.” The grand finale? A finish line framed by palm trees and surf, with a beachside party waiting to celebrate your island-sized achievement.

Whether you're chasing a PR or just soaking in the scenery, the St. Croix Scenic 50 promises a race—and a vibe—like no other.
