Ladybug 50k Information
WHAT: The Ladybug 50k is a virtual event in memory of one of our good friends, the Ladybug Lady, Cathy Troisi. A veteran of 400 marathons and ultras and countless other events, she was a friend to all, an ambassador for the sport, and a role model to all runners old and young alike. She raised more than a 1/4 of a million dollars for Dana Farber in her efforts over the last several decades, so we would like to keep her memory and legacy alive!
RUN A VIRTUAL 50K anywhere: Treadmill, Track, Trail, Roads, Basement. You have 24 hours from your start time to complete the 50k distance! You can run all at once, or break it up!
WHEN: Log your run any time during March. March 1-31. Cathy's birthday was March 31, so we like the month of March.
REG FEE: Price you see is all-in price and includes UltraSignup's fees and your location's taxes if applicable; ** ALL MONEY MINUS TAXES AND FEES WILL BE DONATED IN CATHY'S NAME to Dana Farber and the Jimmy Fund.
SWAG: Ladybug Medal and something ladybug related mailed to you to remember your run by!
REPORTING RESULTS: You will email your 50k evidence (strava, gps, or pictures of treadmill mileage and time) to burcsresults@gmail.com. Subject line should be: LAST NAME - Ladybug 50k - EVIDENCE. Include any relevant photos and stories of your run. Bonus if you can find a ladybug!
