Race Information

Welcome to New Year’s Bash and Ultramarathons 24, 48 and 72 Hour Race.

For those of us who are planning on sticking around the Southeast for the remainder of 2015 and who just might want to run in the New Year rather than ring it in, this is the race for you. We have put together a few no frills timed events which will take place at Stewart Field on Fort Benning, GA starting on December 29th 2015 and ending on January 1st, 2016.

The course is a certified .996 crushed gravel loop, which runs around Stewart-Watson Field at Fort Benning, GA. There is plenty of room to set up a personal aid station and tent along the course. We will use the fanciest chip timing system that we can get our hands on so that you can get a very accurate lap count.

Each race will start and finish at 9am. There is the option to start 24 hours on the 29th, 30th and 31st of December, 48 hours on the 29th or 30th of December, and 72 hours starting on the 29th.

This is seriously no frills! No shirt, no swag, just running. We are charging $50 a day so that we can cover costs and food. We will have an aid station set up with traditional aid station foods. There will also be a heated tent. Smith Gym, which is just a short walk from the course, will be open during the day in case you would like a shower or the use of a proper bathroom. We will also have porta johns set up just a few steps off of the course. There will be plenty of room for you to set up a personal aid station or tent along the course as well.

Now, I am sure that you have all been wondering if we are going to have buckles. Unfortunately, we just came up with this silly idea and there really is not enough time to create an awesome buckle before the race. BUT, we will order 100, 200, or maybe even a 300 mile buckle for those of you who earn one. The cost of the buckles will be each individuals responsibility. I have no idea what the design should be and I am definitely open to suggestions. If you run 100+ miles, you do not have to buy a buckle, but the option is there.
