CURRENT STANDINGS

Time to battle it out!
I'm keeping a Google Sheet for everyone to see. I will update this sheet every Tuesday and Thursday night. As the end gets closer, I will update more often. If you see a mistake- let me know- I'm human and I make mistakes (lot of them).

Quarantine Blues?

Are you lacking motivation?
Are you tired of Netflix asking "Are you still watching?"
Missing your running friends, aide station food, and middle-of-the-night-hijinks?
Quarantine getting you a little batty?

This is your chance to grasp wildly for some sanity!

Wicked Skins is putting on a QUARANTINE RACE! (AKA Virtual Race)

From NOW to the END OF APRIL, log the MOST MILES in a single session, send me a photo of your Strava, Garmin, Fitness Pal (whatever) or just a video of you running around you kitchen table for 23 hours....and you will get a limited edition Hubert medal! AND your personal mileage distance will be on your medal! CUSTOM MEDAL?!?!? WHAATT!?!?

For the TOP 3 that log the most miles in a single session, you will get a special award that I have yet to design and make---- but you know it will be freaking BADASS!

The Highlights

1. Run miles, smile, send proof, wait impatiently at mailbox, get badass Wicked Skins Hubert Medal.
2. Top 3 that run the most miles in a single session get a special award shipped after the end of April.
3. Proof deadline: 11:59PM April 30th, 2020
4. Send proof to: brie@wickedskinsathletics.com, or Brie Los in Facebook, or as a message to Wicked Skins Athletics on Facebook.

Rules

1. Anyone who signs up and runs any kind of distance at all will get a freaking awesome Hubert medal- you do not need to be an ultrarunner. This is for YOUR SANITY. This is in hopes to keep you motivated, to get you outside, to build up your immune system with sweat.
2. You must log the miles in one session and send proof--- so be sure to charge your watches/phones/whatever and if you are really planning on a long one--- portable charger!
3. Feel free to set up your own aide station in your car or picnic table or behind a bush--- but please maintain SAFE SOCIAL DISTANCING! Be a responsible human and don’t put others at risk. Don’t be an a$$hole.
4. Don’t litter- pick up all your s*$% afterwards.
5. If you have already sent me your logged session- but manage to run a FURTHER distance before 11:59PM April 30th, YOU MAY MAKE A SECOND SUBMISSION TO ME! I will be keeping a spreadsheet (super fancy, I know) and the top three (male/female/other/whatever) will receive the special award to be shipped after April 30th. So, feel free to fight your friends on this!
6. These medals will not be made after April 30th, so make sure you sign up, do your distance before 11:59PM on April 30th, and send proof before 11:59PM April 30th. No excuses. If I don’t have proof you did miles, you don’t get a medal.
7. No refunds. If you are quarantined in your house, you can still do miles. That guy ran the worlds most boring marathon on his balcony. No excuses!
8. I am a small business. I make all these by hand and I’ll be making them in the order people sign up. If 3,000 people sign up, I may be a little delayed in making your medal and mailing it to you. ?? Just be patient and I promise you will get a badass medal from the one and only Wicked Skins Awards.

History of Hubert

Hubert loves to run and be out in nature. With all the current world stress and all the nature preserves closed, Hubert has lost his mind. He was carted off to the loony bin where a straight jacket was put on him, but with his noodle-like tentacles, he's slipped out of it and is on the run!
Through the poppy fields he goes, pulling his red balloon with him, to hang out with his buddy Mother Nature. Red hair flashing, he blends in among the flowers and blinks happily to himself, thrilled that he's got a good run in.

Hubert has been a round for years. I started drawing him almost 20 years ago, and over time I've developed his character story and a few friends for him.
One year I dressed him up as his favorite horror movie character and he loved it so much that he never took the costume off.
