The 42 Hour Honor Run for VM150
During the evening of May 19, 2020, the Village of Sanford Michigan was devastated by the breach of two dams after a few days or record rainfall. Many homes and business in the Village were severely damaged, including the Sanford Flagpole Memorial Monument. It was first built with help from Kim Burgess, who is the Mother of LCpl Ryan Burgess, who killed in Iraq. The Memorial was built to Honor the service and Sacrifice of all Veterans that paid the ultimate price.
The primary focus of this 42 hour run is to raise funds to donate to The Ryan Burgess Memorial Foundation for the rebuilding of the monument. There are no shirts offered, no prizes for long distance. This is a pure fundraiser, and if you register, and run, you are helping to raise money for the rebuilding of a Memorial dedicated to the fallen warriors of a town that is damaged, but certainly not anywhere close to broken.
If you would like to honor a fallen Veteran of your own, please register, and email a picture and bio, including name and rank, to info@vm150.com
Event's current local time: 2:03 PM ET
