Feeling restless? All of your races been cancelled? Need a goal?

Come along with us and run, walk or crawl the distance of your choice (10K, 30K, or 50K). You choose your course, your date, your start time. Then share your single activity via a Strava upload (app and accompanying device required; www.strava.com). You will have from October 1 through October 31 to run your distance. Remember, this is a single run, not multiple smaller runs.

Registration

Ultrasignup.com is being used for race registration and communication with entrants. Updates and important information will be posted here throughout the event timeframe.

Upload your single run to Strava to show us you ran your distance between October 1, 2020 and October 31, 2020. After registering, search for “Restless Recluse Virtual Run 2020” in Strava to be admitted to the club. The “race committee” will be using Strava to track who completed their event.

Registration opens August 18, 2020 and will remain open until September 30, 2020.

Also, Ultrasignup has developed a new option to record your run via their site. If you like your results to appear in Ultrasignup, feel free to use this option to record your run! This will not; however, replace your Strava update. Runners will still need to join the Strava club and post their run along with any pictures/stories.

Swag??

Quality swag is the name of the game at our ultra-distance running events in Central Virginia. We are extending the same quality our local runners have come to expect to the virtual running world! Regardless of the distance, you will be receiving a Patagonia Cap Cool Daily shirt with race logo printed on it.

After the event has closed on October 31, we will send out an email to all participants with dates/locations to pick up your swag. If you are not a local runner, contact the race director for shipping instructions. We will start shipping shirts after October 31.

In addition to the finish shirt, there will be 3 free entries to the 2021 Holiday Lake 25K/50K in Appomattox, VA. To be eligible, you will need to upload a photo to the Strava group highlighting something from your run. We will be looking for creativity and running awesomeness! Each distance will have an opportunity at one race entry.

The 3 winners will be selected November 1 and contacted via email from the RD of Holiday Lake 25/50k, Brenton Swyers.
