Fire Tower Frenzy
Come run wild with us through the woods on Nov 1, 2025 for our thirdyear of the Fire Tower Frenzy with a new distance availabe!!
Fire Tower Frenzy the trail head for a Pinhoti section on FS Road 90A. The course will take you on the grand tour of the Cohutta WMA located in Gilmer and Murray counties. You will summit Grassy Mountain and visit the fire tower, take a loop around Lake Conausaga, run down Bear Creek and over both Pinhoti 1 & 2 sections for a total of ~ 40 miles and 7k of climbing.
We will have aid stops along the course serving up all your favorite ultra fare (mostly every 5-7 miles) and all the climbing you could want. Generous 13 hour cutoff (21 min/mile avg) just because!
NEW FOR 2024 We are also offering a 100K option. You complete the first loop of the course and continue on for a second shorter loop following the P2 and then a 7ish mile gravel climb back to the top of Bear creek and doing the loop all over again going over P1 and finishing at the start line! With a 22 hour cut off and aid stops every 5-8 miles serving up the best hot food all night, we will be running wild all night!
