Location:
Bear Creek Lake Park, 15600 W Morrison Rd, Lakewood, CO 80228
Courses: 5K, 15K, 5+15 Double, Kids 1K
5k: After an opening ~1k loop, you'll head out to cover the eastern part of the large loop.
1k: The same opening loop as the 5k.
10k: After a slightly longer opening loop, you'll do two of the larger, ~4.1mi loops.
Double: Race the 5k, take a short break, then race the 15k.
Race Day Schedule
7:30 - Pickup and race-day reg opens
8:30 - 5k start
*9:15 - Kids 1k start
*9:30 - 15k start
*Approx. Races will start when prior races have finished.
Directions and Parking
Enter the park from Morrison Rd, ~1/4mi E of C470. Let the person at the toll booth know you're with the race; don't pay an entry fee. Go left at the Y after the toll booth. About a mile down the road, turn left up the steep hill to Coyote Crossing, or follow directions to additional parking.
Volunteers
Volunteers race for free at this or a future race. Help is needed at registration, parking, aid station, and finish line. Contact me if interested.
Kids 1k
The same opening loop as the 5k. Adults and older siblings can accompany the kids; you don't need to register. All kids will receive a stuffy at the finish. There will be a timing clock, but the race won't be officially timed like the other races. I used to offer this for free, but the park is charging me for each participant, so I need to charge a fee to cover my costs.
