Course Highlights
Bluebird Trail: Known for its serene forest paths and gentle inclines, this section provides a great finish to the course, allowing runners to find their rhythm while enjoying picturesque and historic views.
Powcawanci Trail: A more challenging section featuring steeper climbs, rocky terrain, and winding descents, testing runners' endurance and agility.
Elevation & Terrain: Expect a mix of smooth singletrack, rugged climbs, and fast, flowing descents, making for an exhilarating and rewarding race experience.
5K Course:
The 5K starts on a gravel road before turning left onto Remington Road. From there, runners take a right onto Shuler Woods Rd, then left onto Shelterwood Trail climbing a hill before descending back and taking a right up Remington Road. Turning left, runners cross the Green Bridge and make a quick left onto the Aqueduct Trail, which transitions into the Bluebird Trail at the historic Remington Ruins. The scenic Bluebird Trail leads participants to the finish line.
10K Course:
The 10K follows the 5K route but extends further. Runners will continue up Remington Road and take a right onto the Pocowanache Trail. This section features a challenging ascent to a stunning vista. From there, runners descend the other side of the trail, returning to Remington Road. A right turn onto the Green Bridge reconnects the course with the 5K finish, ending with the picturesque Bluebird Trail.
Both courses highlight the natural beauty of the trails and offer a mix of rolling terrain, historic sites, and scenic views.
There will be one aid station at the Green Bridge for both 5k and 10k participants.
